Cristo Rey St. Viator College PreparatoryHigh School, a tuition-free Catholic school focused on preparing low-income students for college and careers, used NMTC financing to expand its 98,000 sq. ft. campus in North Las Vegas. The school is a part of the Cristo Rey Network (CRN), which consists of 32 independent catholic high schools spread across 21 states and the District of Columbia, all committed to the education of America’s disadvantaged youth (58% of CRN students are female, 61% of students are Latino, 30% are Black, and 100% are low income).
The high school integrates rigorous academics with real-world professional experience through its Corporate Work Study Program. This model prepares students for college and career success, significantly increasing their likelihood of obtaining a four-year degree compared to their peers from similar backgrounds. The project enhanced classroom space, science labs, and vocational training programs, ensuring students could access high-quality education in STEM, business, and healthcare pathways.
